About the Journal

Revista de Educação Popular is a publication of the Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture (PROEXC), of the Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU). With four-monthly periodicity, the journal aims to publish original papers which prioritize approaches and analyses on the production (theoretical and practical) in fields of popular education, popular culture and popular education in health, as well as papers that present discussions aligned with themes and references from the field of popular education, in genres such as article, experience report, research communication and review.

The Journal of Popular Education (ISSN: 1982-7660), a quarterly publication of the Pro-Rectorate of Extension and Culture (PROEXC) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), in partnership with the Research Group on Cultures, Partnerships, and Rural Education (CNPq) and the Center for Studies and Research in Rural Education, Urban Education, and Social Education (Nepeces) of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), represented by Rainei Rodrigues Jadejiski, Josiléia Curty de Oliveira, and Erineu Foerste, launches a Special Edition that features works on the following themes: rural youth, territorialities, interculturality, pedagogical practices, teacher training, curriculum, culture, public policies, and environmental education, intertwined with Countryside Education.

We hope that the reading of this Edition is fruitful and provides new perspectives related to Popular Education and Countryside Education.

A REP configura-se como um instrumento de divulgação de teorias e práticas sobre educação, saúde e cultura populares, propiciando a socialização da produção acadêmica e dos grupos e movimentos sociais, de maneira a produzir a inserção de temas ou problemas da atualidade no processo de ensino, pesquisa e extensão da Universidade e a inclusão de conhecimentos produzidos pela Academia no exame da realidade atual pelos movimentos sociais e outras comunidades externas.
