Abstract

In this interview, obtained through email exchange in 2026, Xiangdong Li (Xi’an International Studies University) discusses core themes within Interpreting Studies. Drawing on his extensive teaching and research background, the expert analyzes interpreters’ cognitive processing, modes of interpreting, and pedagogical challenges, while evaluating the impact of various methodologies on both instruction and research.
