Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents a hybrid method to identifi cation of the Federal Marine Lands (Terrenos de Marinha) in the middle
coast of Rio Grande do Sul - RS, using geological data collected in recent decades, tide information from Hydrography
and Navigation Board - DHN and geodetic processing, referencing the regional information of the beach line, sea level
and high tide line - LPM. Finally, the authors observed that part of the middle coast the beach line moves toward the
sea, featuring advance area to Marine Lands. In addition, the retreat of the beach line, i.e. a decrease of the coastal zone
in relation to the sea, and thus submerging the Marine Lands.
