Integration of Geospatial and Alphanumeric data in the Structuring of a Database for Urban Registration

Abstract
Effective municipal management depends on a structure of methodically organized and integrated cadastral data. Cadastral data are composed of geospatial and alphanumeric data, which must be connected to a database. A recurring problem is the lack of connection between this data contained in cadastral databases, mainly due to the lack of uniformity in organizational culture and policy regarding the management and standardization of these data in all instances. The aim of this paper is to provide an improvement approach to the connection gap between geospatial and alphanumeric data in the cadastral database. The main technical challenges encountered concern the definition of semantics between data, format and language, which are achieved through data interoperability. In this context, we present solutions to structure a cadastral database. Structural, semantic and syntactic interoperability were applied using cadastral data from the municipality of Caruaru-PE. As a result of this research, a cadastral database structure is presented that enables the communication and sharing of the municipality's cadastral information.
