Abstract
No transcorrer de nossa vida profissional temos nos deparado com as palavras RESOLUÇÃO, APROXIMAÇÃO, PRECISÃO, ACURACIDADE e ACURÁCIA, todas relacionadas com a avaliação dos resultados obtidos nos vários tipos de trabalhos cartográficos ou com a eficácia dos instrumentos neles utilizados. Confessamos que não raramente nos vimos envolvidos em confusão a respeito de seus significados, o que nos levou a escrever o presente artigo.
Em qualquer ramo do conhecimento humano a comunicação se impõe como fator fundamental de desenvolvimento e consolidação do mesmo. Da simplicidade e clareza com que nos comunicamos depende o êxito em ser alcançado tal objetivo.
