Abstract

The geodetic auscultation in onshore wind towers and the scarcity of geodetic/topographic measurement methodologies, in these structures, encouraged the elaboration of this work. Geodetic monitoring can indicate the risk of power generation problems, which, according to the designer's indication, exceeds pre-established design tolerances, thus minimizing accidents and damage to the tower and its surroundings. This work was carried out in the Gravatá 01 and 02 wind towers of the Gravatá Geradora de Energia S.A., located in the Brazilian municipality of Gravatá-PE, to define a methodology for ascertaining displacements of object points located in the tower and at the base of the foundation. In order to evaluate possible horizontal movements in the tower, concrete landmarks, metal rods and reflective sheets were implanted, observed by means of the GNSS positioning methods, traverse with forced centering, three-dimensional irradiation and edge measurement method, which through an appropriate geometric configuration and discussed in this work, it allowed the detection of the virtual center of the circular cross sections along the tower, allowing the calculation of its deflection angle. To evaluate possible vertical movements, pins were implanted at the base of the towers, measured by means of high precision geometric leveling of very high precision, establishing in this work the zero reference measurement.
