Abstract

It is been increasingly needed that processes used in geodetic instrumentation get to be automated, aiming efficiency and reduction of execution time. In Brazil and in the world, there are several regulations that adhere to this thematic, establishing the field and laboratory procedures for the classification of the angular component of geodetic instruments. In that context, this research designed and implemented a classification system for the horizontal angular component of theodolites and total stations in the laboratory, alongside with the automation of the calculation process and the issuing of a classification certificate. To make the proposal possible, it was reproduced the same condition established by NBR 13133/1994 (updated 2021), for a field classification base, although in the laboratory, using collimators to define the points wich will be occupied by the targets (aimed). These collimators were installed on a concrete platform, all in the same horizontal plane, so the horizontal angle wich was formed between the first and the last collimator get to be bigger than ninety degrees. To guarantee the maintenance of the same horizontal plane, a N3 geodetic level fabricated by WILD was used. At the end of the data collection process (after readings/measurements), these data were manually inserted by the operator or by a file with a .txt extension upload, acomplishing by MATLAB® (MATrix LABoratory), the standard calculation that automatically issued a certificate classifying the instrument's horizontal angular component.
