We analyze in this study the anaphoric relations in syntactically dependent sentence structures, considering the hypothesis of relativization in Brazilian Sign Language (LSB). Assuming the generative theory, we investigate: (i) the relative structures are possible in the LSB? (ii) is there the presence or not of the antecedent and the relativizer? (iii) what is the function of the element that occupies the relativized position, if present? We propose that the creation of the reference in LSB is done by a localization (Loc), performed by pointing positions defined in the signaling space to indicate referents present or absent in physical space, which constitute the category of determinants in that language. From this analysis, we study the relation of the co-relation in structures that involve a antecedent and a position referentially linked in a syntactically dependent sentence, that we postulate correspond to a relative structure. By analyzing the data, we observed that the relative morpheme does not appear lexically in the sentence. In this sense, the relative ones in LSB occur in three ways: (i) antecedent- Loc + nominal + relativized locative element manifested or null; (ii) antecedent- (Loc) + localized element relativized manifest or null; and (iii) antecedent- nominal + locative relativized manifest or null. In addition, the localization that occupies the relativized position can be erased.Downloads
