This paper intends to didactically describe the specificities of the so-called Dialogical Discourse Analysis, by Bakhtin and the Circle, aiming at offering to new readers and everyone wanting to approach Bakhtinian proposals in academic settings, a synthesis of the main topics present in this study perspective. This didactical goal justifies the fact of the text being organized according to themes we deemed more relevant for understanding the theory, such as dialogism, genre, interaction and utterance. In addition, as the text is an introductory one, we tried to propose a lighter reading by not indicating specific texts where each one of them is present, since this would require quoting many of them at every part. Thus, would the reader want to do a deeper study, we preferred to indicate in the References all texts where topics approached in this paper have appeared.
