Vol. 3 No. 1 (2022): Art Occupies: creative practices and occupations in city design
Art Occupies: creative practices and occupations in city design

OCCUPY ART: creative practices and occupations in the design of the city is the theme of the publication for the first half of 2022, organized by researchers Henrique Xavier (USP) and Patrícia Osses (UFU) .The dossier gathered theoretical reflections and also curatorship, interview and visual essays (drawings, photos, videos, etc.) on artistic practices in their relationship with urban space.

This Dossier is a collective cartography  in which peripheral alleys, abandoned/occupied buildings, "degraded" centers and other politically and literally flammable spaces throughout Brazilian and foreign territories are conceived not only as alternative spaces for artistic practices, but, at the same time, as places for exercising and strengthening the notions of citizenship, belonging and urban resistance.

The cover image is the work of Lucas Cruz, artist from Ocupação Ouvidor 63.
