RecHouse River Port.: Building and social recovery project of the former Taburet Warehouses in Rome

Abstract

The Project Porto Fluviale RecHouse consists of the regeneration of a building in the abandoned industrial zone of Rome. Collaborators with the project are municipal, university , governmental institutions and popular representatives. Some of the goals of the Project  are:  reduction of the habitational problem;  new ways of management; activation of a process of participation; social integration and  social mixité against the processes of gentrification, and valorization of the  social proximity among heterogeneous groups.
