Conflict of Interest
Conflict of Interest Instructions
- They must be communicated by the authors and by all those involved in the editorial process of a manuscript.
- Editors should avoid making decisions about manuscripts that conflict with their interests, such as those submitted by authors in their department or research collaborators.
- Considering the possibility of conflicts of interest, the journal does not publish articles authored by the journal's editors.
- If assistant editors have a conflict of interest, they should delegate decision-making to other editors.
Reviewers must consider any conflict of interest before evaluating the manuscript. In addition, working relationships with the author must be considered (e.g., are participating or have participated in a research project; are maintaining or have maintained scientific collaboration with research groups; have a mentoring relationship with the author; have a financial interest in the project involved in the manuscript).
