This paper aims at analyzing the narrative contrastive representation in prosecution and defense closing speeches in a legal case of forgery of public document, trough the study of ideational content of texts (HALLIDAY, 1976 and 1998) and the negotiation processes of image and interpersonal relationships. Within the theoretical framework of Forensic Discourse Analysis, this study aims to understand how interaction patterns and social roles played by subjects influence the discourse production in court. We will adopt as analytical category the narrative model proposed by Labov (1972) to analyze the ideational content of texts, observing how the selections of facts and lexical choices show the evaluative character of narratives. To understand the negotiation processes of image and interpersonal relationships (ROSULEK, 2010), we will study how evidences production, legal texts citation and witness testimony, sustaining/attacking his credibility or reinterpreting his voices, build the image of lawyers and his relationship with the other subjects.Downloads
