Pedagogical Lexicography (LP) is motivated by the understanding of the important didactic role that dictionaries can play in teaching / learning languages. One of the objectives of Pedagogic Lexicography consists in evidencing the productivity of the dictionary in different situations of learning not only of foreign language, but also of the mother tongue. In this article, we highlight the importance of the relation between levels and / or teaching projects and the lexicographic proposal that rules the structural organization of mother tongue language dictionaries. LP studies confirm the deficiency of teacher lexicography training in Brazil. This explains the lack of knowledge of the structure and potential of lessons about language and language that dictionaries offer. Consequently, the little use of dictionaries in mother-tongue pedagogical practices is evident. However, it is perceived that the principles of LP have produced positive impacts on the editorial production of Brazilian school lexicography. In this context, this text aims to present the results of a practical work, published in the form of Caderno de Exercícios (KRIEGER; MÜLLER, 2017). Two axes guide the organization of the Notebooks: 1) To know and consult the dictionary and 2) To take advantage of the dictionary. All the material includes a set of 90 exercises that can help teachers in various didactic activities with the use of dictionaries.
