The challenges of overcoming racism in Brazil: considerations from the place of speech

This interview addresses questions about how racism and discrimination have been addressed in academic discussions. In her analyzes, the interviewee reflects on the contributions of Laws 10.639 / 03 and 11.645 / 08 to anti-racist education. In addition, she questions the contributions of Universities to the implementation of affirmative policies, discusses the challenges of ethnic-racial education in Brazilian education in relation to the debate on African and Afro-Brazilian religiosity. In the meantime, she assesses the affirmative policies of black people entering higher education and analyzes the racial equality policies in the current Brazilian context.
