Providing opportunities for traditional knowledge and wisdom ensures that practices carried out by our ancestors are not lost in the face of major changes in society and the globalized world. The subject implemented in rural schools in the state of Mato Grosso, entitled “Science and Knowledge of the Countryside”, aims to contribute to the promotion of experiences, discussion of values and peasant practices carried out in rural areas for years, through popular knowledge. They are taught during classes on science and knowledge of the countryside, agroecological production, solidarity economy and organic production and cultivation techniques.
