Abstract

This paper is based on the evaluation of the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) held in 2015, specifically the collection of data focused on the performance of students and teachers in Brazil, with the aim of presenting indicatives for the possible elaboration of public policies for education in the country. The study is based on the analysis of information, taking as a methodology the guidelines for comparing educational effectiveness with the participating countries and the results obtained with Brazilian students that meet many requirements, especially the federal education network. The analysis demonstrates that investments are necessary in teacher training, infrastructure in schools and definition of the continuity of the means of evaluation through State policies.
