This study aimed to analyze the importance of University Restaurants (URs) in mitigating food insecurity (FI) among undergraduate students at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). The research was conducted with a stratified probabilistic sample of UEPG students between August and November 2023. The measurement of students' food (in)security was carried out using the FAO methodology, while the Propensity Score Matching method was used to analyze UR's impact on mitigating FI. The results indicated that students who use the UR tend to present a lower degree of food insecurity on average when compared to a similar group.
