The terminology of the place of registration of French marriage certificates
a look at its sociocultural aspects

This paper describes our reflections of the sociocultural aspects of the terminology of the place of registration of French marriage certificates. For this, we selected 33 documents, among which are 16 marriage certificates of Catholic marriages and 17 civil marriage certificates issued between the years of 1736 to 1815. Based on the survey of terms of the place of registration in these documents, we studied the sociocultural and historical aspects of France in that period and its reflection in the terms found.
