Abstract

Interview given by Professor Doctor Maria Alice Rezende Gonçalves, from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Post-Doctorate in Anthropology (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and UFRJ), she carries out an assessment of affirmative action policies and keeps track of their political and historical paths, with significant reflections regarding Law nº 12.711/2012 (Quotas Act), the Heteroidentification Commission and the Nucleus of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (NEABI), as well as the existing challenges in relation to the future of this Nucleus.
