Comparative Analysis of Positional Accuracy Provided by GPS Data Processing Platforms in Relative Positioning and by Precise Point Positioning

Abstract
Several services of GPS (Global Positioning System) data processing are available at online platforms for positional computation with relative and precise point positioning (PPP). Due to its gratuity, ease to use and the delivery of robust results, many users have submitted GPS data collected in the field to calculate the geodetic coordinates of interest points in these services. The Bernese GNSS Software v.5.2 (BSW) and the services/platforms AUSPOS, IBGE-PPP, CSRS-PPP (SPARK) and OPUS were used to process the GPS observables collected in 30 geodetic marks, with observation sessions of 5 hours, to determine positional coordinates. A comparative analysis of the positional quality provided by each strategy was carried out. Positional discrepancies were calculated based on the coordinates obtained using the Bernese Software Relative mode. The results indicate centimetric positional accuracy (0.016 m to 0.073 m) for the altimetric, planimetric and three-dimensional components for the use of AUSPOS, BSW-PPP, IBGE-PPP, CSRS-PPP and decimetric (0.100 m to 0.180 m) for the OPUS, indicating service potential. The platform that provided the greatest positional conformity in relation to the results obtained by the relative BSW- was the CSRS-PPP (SPARK), followed by AUSPOS, BSW-PPP, IBGE-PPP and OPUS.
