Techniques of Map’s Lecture: a Proposal

Abstract
With the help of Aristotle’s theoretical framework, a technique to map reading which consists of applying, by analogy, the methodology of images reading are present. To develop the ability of reading maps one can initiate by the
division and in-depth and careful analysis of the parties and then carry out the synthesis and to attribute sense. In this
task is also interesting to develop the art of interrogating the maps outlining the issues according to the Aristotelian
categories. Several examples of this technique are presented, applying to some cases extracted from the experience
of some years of their use. It is not intended to replace other techniques, but the presentation of an alternative that
complements other looks.
