Agrarian Reform and land leases in the Western Paranaense mesoregion, Brazil

This work aims to analyse land leases in agrarian reform settlements in the west mesoregion of Paraná’s phenomenon, and the study was based on Dialectical Historical Materialism. To achieve the study aims, 5 rounds of approximation’s attempt with reality were carried out were taken. During it, 87 people were interviewed, we started with field research, a semi-insured-qualitative nature questionary, reflections, and illustrated maps elaborated from Analysis-Diagnoses of Agrarian System’s (ADAS) reality and application. The text addresses the entry of capitalist relations into agriculture and its evolution to agribusiness. Land rent and the complexity of its subordination or not to capital is essential in this research. The analysis of peasant relations since their origins allows deeper understandings about these complexities in the territories studied. In the final phase, Elements which show that families in Agrarian Reform settlements are in a constant search for resistance strategies to ensure their social reproduction as peasant units are presented.
