  • Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics
    Vol. 7 (2026)

Volume 7 (2026) of the Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics (BEJOM) reaffirms the journal’s commitment to the dissemination of high-quality research in the various areas of Mathematics and its teaching, welcoming contributions that advance mathematical knowledge, whether theoretical or applied, as well as critical reflections on teaching practice and teacher education.

BEJOM receives original articles that engage with different fields of Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and related areas, valuing rigorous, innovative, and interdisciplinary approaches. The journal encourages submissions that explore both conceptual and methodological aspects, including theoretical, empirical, historical, or didactic studies, provided they demonstrate scientific relevance and clarity in the communication of results.

Currently undergoing a transition toward open science practices, BEJOM has been gradually enhancing its editorial procedures, focusing on transparency, the quality of the peer review process, and the expansion of access to scientific knowledge, while respecting the specificities of each stage of the editorial workflow.

Volume 7 is open for submissions throughout 2026 and invites the academic community to contribute research that broadens, problematizes, and strengthens mathematical debate in its multiple dimensions.

  • Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics
    Vol. 6 (2025)

    Vol. 6 No. Especial (2025)

The Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics (BEJOM) is pleased to present its new special issue: “Teachers Who Teach Mathematics: For What, For Whom.”

Organized in partnership with the Research and Studies Group in Mathematics Education (NUPEm), this dossier brings together articles that discuss the challenges and possibilities of educating teachers who teach mathematics across various educational contexts — from Early Childhood Education to Higher Education, including multiple modalities such as Youth and Adult Education (YAE), rural education, technical and vocational training, and more.

The texts address topics ranging from degree programs in Mathematics and Pedagogy to teaching induction programs, continuing education, and the use of technologies in mathematics teaching. This dossier invites reflection on the goals of mathematics education, the audiences involved, and the didactic strategies and policies necessary to transform realities through Mathematics Education.

More than just a collection of studies, this special issue aims to be a space for dialogue, inspiration, and critical reflection for researchers, educators, and policymakers.
