Abstract

The 1960s exhibitions revealed forms of aesthetic exploration of multiple sensations in which the artistic object was continually rethought. Artists were linked to the poetics of dynamism and programmatic construction, finding in the Nove Tendencije movement (1961-1978) the ideal environment for visual and technological exploration outside conventional institutionalized circuits. These artists actively participated in independent circuits, including research and visual experimentation groups. Based on a network analysis methodology, this investigation focus on three axes: network of visual research and experimentation groups, participation and computer graphics. The Nove Tendencije demonstrate an important moment for the understanding of art, science and technology which has been little debated by researchers dedicated to the history of exhibitions.
