Certificate of Additional Construction Potential from LiDAR Data and CityEngine Parametrization
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents the results of a methodology to evaluate the additional potential of urban construction using LiDAR
data and tridimensional objects parametrization. The objective of the research was to quantify the potential value of
building space not built aiming to launch CEPACs (Certificates of Additional Construction Potential), from modeling
with CityEngine software and the use of LiDAR. The studied area is located in Joinville-SC, where the data and the
urban parameters were defined by specific legislation at the federal and municipal levels to characterize the potential
additional construction were collected.
