Abstract

Through the territorialization of fruit agribusiness companies in the Baixo Jaguaribe region (eastern Ceará-Brazil), there was a reconfiguration of the local agrarian issue, given the pressure exerted by these hegemonic agents in the control of land and the expansion of latifundia and the land concentration, aggravating agrarian conflicts and altering social relations of production. We analyze the relationship between the fruit agribusiness and the intensification of land concentration in the Baixo Jaguaribe, considering the production and perpetuation of latifundia, which result in the reconfiguration of the agrarian issue and conflicts related to use and ownership of land.
