The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the main effects of the creation of Rural Settlement Projects by INCRA in the land ownership structure of the municipality of Caiapônia/GO. To carry out the research, data were collected and systematized from the 1995, 2006 and 2017 Agricultural Censuses of the IBGE and from the land ownership structure by INCRA 2018, and, at the end, the parcels of land in the settlements were dismembered, considering them as rural properties. Among the results obtained, it was verified that, even with the creation of 13 Settlement Projects by INCRA and the effects caused in the territory in the municipality, land ownership still remains quite concentrated, since the stratum of the number of properties of up to 250 hectares had an increase of only 2.71 percentage points. The properties considered medium and large comprise more than 80% of the total land, which still denotes a high concentration.
