SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS THROUGH THE PRISM OF THE SOCIAL CARTOGRAPHY OF THE Orleans viva movement

This research deals with environmental justice as social consciousness from the perspective of a social movement in the municipality of Orleans, Santa Catarina. The objective is to analyze the forms of social organization to confront environmental injustices carried out by the Orleans Viva Movement (MOV) - Guardians of the Costão, as well as to understand the forms of socio-environmental organization and awareness developed by the movement. The research method used was an integrative review, focus groups, timeline and social cartography to understand the nuances surrounding the movement, from its conception to its recent struggles. Through this research, it was possible to understand that by characterizing itself as a social movement of socio-environmental awareness and action, the MOV becomes a privileged object in which social and socio-environmental awareness is demonstrated through the struggle for environmental justice.
