Dossier: Poetics of Involvement

Volume 7, Issue 1 (2026)

This dossier seeks to present a critical panorama inspired by the reflections of Antônio Bispo dos Santos and Donna Haraway, in order to ground the present issue, “Poetics of Involvement.” It argues for the urgency of overcoming colonial and cosmophobic logics that generate disconnection, environmental devastation, and the imaginary of the Anthropocene.

In contrast to modern narratives of “development,” the dossier affirms the potency of involvement as a mode of existing and world-making, recognizing that life is shaped through interactions among humans, other beings, and the materialities that compose the planet.

The dossier proposes to investigate how artistic practices, understood as ways of inhabiting, creating relationships, and forging alliances, can enact this poetics of involvement with bodies, spaces, beings, and technicities. Authors are invited to contribute articles and experimental works that expand the conceptual framework of the theme.
