Review of the book “Assim na Arte como na Vida” by Luciano Vinhosa, originally prepared as a thesis, for promotion to full professor at the Institute of Art and Social Communication at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). Book that brings together experiences in art in interaction with the academic environment. The author reveals problems that are both universal and singular: the condition of the artist and the nature of art. “Assim na Arte como na Vida” exposes themes to be faced in depth by all those who chose art as a professional field.
