BASEAnalysis of GNSS Network Reliability and Repeatability of Baselines

Abstract
This paper describes the application of quality control in a GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) network based on the conventional reliability theory, analyzing the improvement of the reliability of the network from including repeated baselines. after adjustment by least squares network , compute measures of reliability for the network: the redundancy number, internal and external reliability and bias to noise-ratio. The choice of the baseline to be repeated on the network was made based on the analysis of observation which had the lowest number of local redundancy. Once
identified the observation is verify to which baseline this observation belong and this baseline is repeated in the GNSS
network. The adjustment is realized again, and the calculating measures of reliability.This procedure was repeated five
times, when it was found stabilized results. the original GNSS network used consisted of six vertices (RBMC stations:
ILHA, SJRP, SPAR, PPTE, OURI e ROSA), two control points and eleven baselines.Analyzing the maximum values
of internal reliability, the decrease occurred between the first and the last scenario was 6 mm. Regarding the results
for the maximum values of external reliability, the decrease occurred between the first and the last scenario was 2.3
centimeters. For smaller values of number of redundancy found it was found a difference of 0.243 between the first
and the last scenario.
