Abstract
O Rio de Janeiro recebe a Comunidade Internacional de Fotogrametria e Sensoriamento Remoto, São cientistas, professores e engenheiros de todas as partes do planeta que aqui vêm para trocar informações sobre o avanço científico, neste campo nos últimos quatro anos. É portanto com justificado orgulho que a Sociedade Brasileira de Cartografia, congregando em torno de seus objetivos todos os brasileiros que se dedicam à especialidade, considera este evento como o mais importante de todos os já patrocinados, não só pela SBC, como também pela ISPRS.
