UM SISTEMA DE PROCESSAMENTO DE IMAGENS PARA A DIRETORIA DE SERVIÇO GEOGRÁFICO

Abstract
O trabalho em questão objetiva apresentar para a Diretoria de Serviço Geográfico um Sistema de Processamento de Imagens que possibilitará, através da análise digital de dados, o manuseio de imagens obtidas através dos sensores MSS e Thematic Mapper dossatélites da série LANDSAT, bem como de sensores desatélites a serem lançados num futuro próximo (por exemplo do satélite SPOT). O referido sistema encontra-se em fase de desenvolvimento no Instituto de Pesquisas Espaciais estando o hardware e o software concluídos e o software aplicativo em desenvolvimento. É apresentada uma série de vantagens que a aquisição do sistema trará para a Diretoria, bem como algumas aplicações do sisteman na confecção de produtos cartográficos ora em produção no âmbito da DSG.
