There is no talk about gender equality without pervade directly by education paths otherwise. Not only from the point of view of women's education around the world; but above all of their direct participation in the teaching exercise. Thus, this state of the art research, aimed to highlight the female predominance in the world of academic research related to Education in Brazil, taking as reference works published from the twenty-first century, at the CAPES Theses Database (http://bancodeteses.capes.gov.br/), linked to the Ministry of Education. From the results, it pointed to demand that scientific publication from the perspective of geographical and gender Brazilian diversity; the main areas of scientific interest, for men and women within the framework of Education, according to the researched corpus; and it was possible to understand from the literature, the variables that affect the relationship "qualification -teaching-gender".
