This introductory text presents a collection of 14 articles submitted to this special issue of Revista Letras & Letras, aimed at disseminating research presented at the 2024 ELC/EBRALC event—the 16th Corpus Linguistics Conference (ELC) and the 12th Brazilian School of Computational Linguistics (EBRALC)—held from October 21 to 24, 2024, at the University of Brasília. The topics covered range from lexical studies to the proposal of new resources for corpus-based research, corpus-based linguistic analyses in their various applications, and reflections on the impact of artificial intelligence on corpus linguistics and related fields.
