In order to construct reflections from the relationship between Geography and Literature, this article seeks to contribute to the content analysis of the work Torto Arado by Vieira Junior (2019) to identify the meanings of work and territory, enabling a geographical reading of a fictitious rural community that, nevertheless, presents strong elements linked to reality, especially when reflecting on the process of rural space production and labor relations developed over time in Brazilian territory. The tool used for data collection and analysis was Content Analysis (Bardin, 2016). For this, bibliographic research was conducted, using databases and works related to the theme of Geography and Literature, as well as to the concepts of work and territory. From the analyses carried out, we understand how the link established between land, work, and territory for rural communities is the expression of their identity and the ongoing presence of inequalities since the Land Law of 1850.
