Abstract

This study presents a proposal for educational activity and means of environmental interpretation for the trails, integrating the principles of geodiversity. It is one of the possibilities for planning the use, based on the assessment of the landscape in the integrated perspective of geoecology, which can even contribute to the preservation of local geographic diversity. The work was carried out at the Museum of Natural History and Botanical Garden (MHNJB) at UFMG, based on the practical application of the survey results and spatial analysis of various landscape elements. Therefore, the integrated geofactors analysis, associated with the cartography of the landscape, allowed the formulation of a route, and geoecological profile, for an interpretative trail with the topic geodiversity, called geotrail, allowing a range of interpretative themes to be applied. The application of geoecology demonstrated how the environmental interpretation in tracks, mainly in protected areas, is an important educational and scientific tool for Geography.
