Resumen

This work will discuss the model of agricultural development of the area of the Brazilian Center-west begun in the seventies, the productive potential and the process of exclusion of the small farming preexisting in the area, that maintained a production system the base of rudimentary techniques. It will also be discussed the subject of the environmental impacts. Great part of this text is resulted of field observation accomplished by occasion of trips by the area.
