Volume 5 of the Brazilian Electronic Journal of Mathematics (BEJOM), published in 2024, presents a diverse set of contributions in both mathematical research and mathematics education. The articles address topics ranging from teacher training and the use of digital technologies in education to theoretical and applied studies in pure and applied mathematics. Highlights include analyses of teaching in multigrade classrooms, the use of the Vicmetro in trigonometry education, and investigations into complex structures in real vector spaces. The volume also features papers on many-valued logic, polynomial sequences (such as Repunit and Tetrarrin sequences), alternative solutions to fourth-degree equations, and applied studies such as modeling pollutant dispersion in the Patos Lagoon and numerical verification of Newtonian flow. This edition reinforces BEJOM's commitment to a plurality of mathematical approaches, connecting pedagogy, academic research, and real-world problem solving.
