Abstract

This article discusses spirituality from a research-creation perspective. Based on my personal artistic practice, I question the representation of spiritual — an entity with no form. In my own practice, I try to reinterpret the fundamentals of the spiritual requirements of Zen Buddhism practices; and to transcribe this spiritual dimension through artworks with minimalist aesthetics based on the philosophies of the void with “subjective and meditative objects”. A metaphysical artistic research at the intersection of spirit and philosophy, where Zen allows the realization of meditative works with transcendent forms, and spiritual or intellectual qualities, which generate a spiritual state in those who receive them. The purpose of this article is to formalize the lived spiritual experience, the physical and tangible translations of philosophical and mystical reflections which invite to the participative experience of the “emptiness”
