Abstract
This article explores Roberto Burle Marx's work from its relations withthe Abstract Art, mainly based on the idea of “contamination” between the fields of architecture and visual arts.It aims to draw a parallel between Burle Marx's landscape projects and the abstract work of the artist Hans Arp.Its case study is the gardens of the Pampulha Art Museum, Belo Horizonte (MG). From the study carried out, it is concluded that Burle Marx has in Arp a possible reference for the biomorphic plans that appear in the gardens.
