Abstract
Em diversas oportunidades temos nos referido ao fato de constituir, hoje, para o Geodesista, um problema delicado a escolha de equipamento adequado para esta ou aquela tarefa, para este ou aquele tipo de terreno, desde que a Eletrônica, a Física do Estado Sólido, a Computação Eletrônica a Digitalização e outras conquistas da ciência e da tecnologia foram colocadas a serviço da Geodésia, da Topografia, da Fotogrametria, da Engenharia Cartográfica, enfim.
A fórmula para continuar usando o helicóptero nesse tipo de operação foi agora encontrada por um cartel de empresas Canadenses que idealizou e concretizou a ideia de colocar, servindo-se do próprio helicóptero, um emissor de raios LASER no vértice a determinar, emitindo um feixe cônico que pode ser regulado para atingir a altura do helicóptero com um diâmetro de base da ordem de 1 m.
