Generation of Spatial Data Base for Urban Drainage Studies in Metropolitan Region of Recife, PE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Studies of urban drainage should consider the continuous changes in the urban environment. The information obtained
from satellite images of high resolution, numerical models and maps of the land use can be integrated and manipulated
via GIS tools to facilitate planning and help in solving problems of urban space. For the Metropolitan Region of Recife
- RMR, which represents a complex urban drainage system, this information was incorporated into the hydrologicalhydrodynamic
model, MIKE SHE/MIKE 11, with the aim to better represent the dynamics of urban basins from more refined information.
