Transformação de um Datum Geodésico

Abstract
Estando o Brasil adotando como novo Datum para fins geodésicos e cartográficos o "DATUM SUL AMERICANO-1969" (South American Datum of 1969), é interessante que se faça uma pequena recordação nos conceitos relativos à transformação de um Datum para outro.
A adoção de um Sistema Geodésico de referência Datum, implica, especificamente, na aceitação de duas convenções: primeiramente, a adoção de um elipsoide de referência, onde deverão ser conduzidos todos os cálculos (normalmente definido pelo seu eixo maior, e seu achatamento "a" e "f"); e em segundo lugar, a posição onde deverá estar o centro geométrico deste elipsoide.
