Abstract
No ano que se finda, conseguimos tornar realidade o maior sonho da nossa Sociedade a aquisição da SEDE PRÓPRIA e já se encontra em fase de conclusão o processo para o seu reconhecimento como UTILIDADE PÚBLICA; esperamos que o mesmo tenha chegado à conclusão em data bem próxima.
Além desses dois fatos marcantes, podemos destacar entre as nossas participações e realizações: XII CONGRESSO INTERNACIONAL DE FOTOGRAMETRIA (Ottawa - Canadá), para o qual enviamos uma representação patrocinada pelo Conselho Nacional de Pesquisas e onde tivemos um magnífico stand montado com a colaboração do Projeto RADAM e da Lasa S/A; I ENCONTRO NACIONAL DE CARTOGRAFIA, no Rio Grande do Sul, realizado com a colaboração da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, uma confraternização extraordinária, com a participação de mais de 200 pessoas e várias organizações; a EXPOSICARTA/72, realizada simultaneamente com o I-ENC, naquela promissora cidade gaúcha, uma amostragem muito significativa do nosso desenvolvimento cartográfico; a XIII ASSEMBLÉIA-GERAL ORDINARIA, na qual foi criado o Núcleo Regional Sul, com sede em Porto Alegre, congregando já 220 associados, residentes nos estados do Paraná, Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul.
