This article presents a bibliometric analysis of a sub-discipline of Stylistics called Cognitive Stylistics. This branch of stylistic studies deals with the study of cognitive and discursive issues in the relationship between textuality and reader, based on the application of principles from the cognitive sciences and cognitive linguistics, fostering interdisciplinary approaches for the interpretation of literary and non-literary texts. The metrics of the papers available in the international journal Language and Literature, in the Catalogue of Dissertations and Theses from CAPES and in the journals indexed at the platform Scielo Brasil were collected. The metrics reveal the development of Cognitive Stylistics in the beginning of the 21st century, its strong presence abroad, and the low uptake of this branch of stylistic analysis in Brazil.
