About the Journal

  • Focus and Scope

DiversaPrática (ISSN 2317-0751) is a Brazilian, multilingual, and multidisciplinary open-access, peer-reviewed journal. It is intended for researchers, higher education professionals, educational policymakers, and anyone interested in issues related to teaching practice in higher education.

The journal accepts original and unpublished submissions in Portuguese, English, and Spanish that address teaching practice in higher education from different theoretical, conceptual, and methodological perspectives, discussing topics that encompass teaching, research, and university outreach (extensão).

When evaluating articles for publication, priority is given to works with practical applications and implications for teaching. Therefore, research addressing teacher training, pedagogical practices in higher education, and theoretical/methodological reflections linked to university teaching are welcome.

  • Peer Review Process

The editorial team of DiversaPrática evaluates submitted articles regarding their suitability to the journal’s focus and scope, the quality of writing, and their potential contribution to knowledge in the field. If an article is found unsuitable, authors will be notified within 60 (sixty) days of the submission date.

Once deemed suitable for evaluation, articles are sent for double-blind peer review. The reviewer pool for DiversaPrática consists of professors and researchers associated with stricto sensu graduate programs from national and/or international educational institutions with expertise in the field.

To be published, works must receive 02 (two) favorable reviews. During the evaluation process, authors may be asked to perform revisions and improvements as indicated by the reviewers; a new submission may also be required.

Researchers interested in joining the DiversaPrática reviewer pool must register at:: https://seer.ufu.br/index.php/diversapratica/user/register.  Please include keywords describing your research interests and methodological preferences.

  • Publication Frequency

DiversaPrática operates on a continuous flow basis with semiannual publications. Articles received by June 30th of the current year are published in Issue 1 of that year; articles received after July 1st are published in Issue 2. The continuous flow system accelerates the research dissemination process, as articles are published as soon as they are approved and edited.
