Abstract

Abstract

The present study presents the elements resulting from the reflection of territorialization, linked to the way of life of the landless movements, based on the experience experienced in a first meeting that took place between students of the undergraduate course in geography, in 2015, and rural workers. linked to the MST of the sister settlement Dorothy in Petrolina-PE. At the meeting, topics were discussed on the mode of production, territory, peasantry, the daily life of families. From this meeting and the knowledge and reflections that constitute the academic trajectory of the student (at the time), now professional, the interaction between the concepts of territorialization and the way of life of the landless workers' movements was observed. In this context, the objective of this work is to report the articulation between territorialization and the way of life of landless workers. The methodology adopted was the bibliography with emphasis on the experience lived at the university through the reading and discussion of the themes and the articulation with the rural man. With the help of references such as: Santos, Martins, Burdieu, with discussions about the countryside, the struggles for land and the way of life. The importance of this discussion regarding the right to land of the rural population was noticed, mainly during the period of the geography course in the year 2012 to 2016. Therefore, this experience of reporting inserted in the real context provided a critical knowledge of the situation contextualized with the lived trajectory, and its relationship with academic life since graduation until the present moment. Thus contributing to an academic formation of the master's student, once appropriated of this knowledge, future graduates will have sensitivity and criticality for the correct conduct of the interaction between related areas.
