Southeast Para is one of the agricultural frontier regions of the Brazilian Amazon that contextualizes a broad history of territorial expansion based on social conflicts. Thus, this research aimed to identify municipalities at environmental and epidemiological risk and their socio-environmental problems and health impetus in communities exposed to air pollution. The working method was based on the analysis of the reports on the Identification Instruments of Municipalities at Risk (IIMR). For the participatory socio-environmental diagnosis, it was preferred to conduct the research with the application of socio-demographic questionnaires and the application of a thematic workshop, based on the intervention approach of the problem tree. According to the risk diagnosis, 64.10% of the municipalities in the mesoregion are in a situation of high environmental and epidemiological vulnerability, exposing the RI Tucuruí Lake as the most susceptible region due to the impacts resulting from the expansion of the agricultural sectors. That said, the perception of the stakeholders clarified a lack of dialogue with the frontier communities about the imminent risks of progressive agribusiness actions, as well as the lack of maintenance of public policies dealing with health and environment in defense of biodiversity and better quality of life in the communities.
